Warm Beef Salad with Oroshi Sauce
This healthy salad combines the warming kick of red chilli with the refreshing crunch of grated daikon, a large, white Japanese radish also known as mooli.
- 240g beef, thinly sliced
- 2 onions
- ½ green pepper
- 1cm ginger
- 1 tomato
- 3 spring onions
- 1 red chilli
- 1½ tbsp salad oil
- Thinly slice the onion, green pepper, and ginger. Skin the tomato and chop. Slice the spring onions diagonally. Finely chop the chilli.
- Grate the daikon and mix with the other sauce ingredients to make the oroshi (grated) sauce.
- Heat the oil in the pan, and add the onion, chilli, peppers and beef. Add the tomato, ginger, and spring onion, and season with salt and pepper. Mix together quickly over a high heat, and serve. Add the daikon oroshi sauce to taste.
