Story of Sake:
The Otokoyama Brewery is located in the city of Asahikawa, in the centre of Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost island. Asahikawa boasts the purest waters, from underground streams of water that have flown for thousands of years from the peaks of the surrounding volcanic mountain range. These waters and the freezing Hokkaido winter create the perfect conditions for sake brewing, and the result is superlative sake like the Otokoyama Junmai Sake. This sake is made with Miyamanishiki rice, and has won multiple awards in competitions in Japan and overseas.
